Zoo Lights

Last week we went with Shanti's family to see impressive lights displays at the Denver Zoo. We also got to go into some of the indoor animal exhibits. It was extremely cold, but still really fun!

Denver Museum of Nature & Science

While Shanti's family was in town we spent an afternoon at the Museum of Nature & Science. We've never been there, so it was really neat. Shilah had a great time looking at the displays with her aunts and grandma!

Christmas Eve

Dinner for 15! I had a great (and hurried) time cooking Christmas Eve dinner. It was wonderful to have a big family gathering around our table!

Christmas Morning

We all had a wonderful Christmas morning at our house! It was great to have so many of our family members there to celebrate with.














Shilah started off opening her stocking before everyone arrived Christmas morning.

Let the Christmas Chaos Begin!

The good kind of chaos! Shanti's family started coming in last night. We're all so excited! Shilah is getting ready for Santa and Serena is, well, getting ready for drooling :)

Sleeping Beauty

It's definitely harder for the second baby to get a good block of sleep in when the first child runs around the house screaming! But that's life...

















It's sunny in this picture, but the skies are gray right now and the snow is pouring down! The scenery is very beautiful though after it snows and the sun comes out with a bright blue sky. Hopefully that will happen again after this storm!

The "I've Been Naughty" Look

Sweet little Shilah? Here's a look that says maybe she's not the sweetest all the time! In this picture Shilah just got done shoving her doll next to Serena, which really isn't naughty at all. But I still love her expression!













Yesterday I hosted Shilah's playgroup. She was so excited to have all her friends come over! The kids decorated cookies and, well, made the basement look like a hurricane went through it. Toys everywhere! But that's what playgroup is all about.
On a more serious note, Serena got her first fever today. She's been sleeping a lot! The doctor said to just let it run its course, and to keep monitoring her. Get better soon, Serena!

Peek a boo, Santa!

5 months old!

Serena is 5 months old today! She sits up fairly well on her own, tipping over occasionally :)

Deck the Halls!

Yesterday we went to a party hosted by parents of one of the boys in Shilah's playgroup. We all had so much fun! The adults hung out downstairs and the kids played upstairs with a couple of babysitters.













Shilah was scared of Santa when he first arrived at the party, but when she saw all her friends get on his lap she felt better! It was so cute to see, and each kid got a little gift bag from Santa. Serena had fun pulling his beard :)

Both girls fell asleep at the party... partying is hard work! The baby to the left of Serena is only 1 day apart in age from her, and the baby's brother (not pictured) is only 3 days apart in age from Shilah!
