Daddy's Home!

Shanti returned yesterday after a week trip to Orlando for a work conference. It was a LONG week, and we're all happy he's home! Here is Shanti and the girls in front of one of his new work buildings.

Before Shanti's trip, the girls and I made a book called, "Daddy's Work Trip." Shilah & I mapped out the story line (Daddy gets on the plane, Daddy goes to meetings, etc.), and Serena helped with the illustrations. We also pasted a picture of "Daddy's girls" at the end. Shilah said every time he travels he can read it on the plane. Cute!
Kids Say the Cutest Things: Shilah asked Shanti before he left: "So you'll come home when you run out of underpants?"

Birthday Party

Today we went to a birthday party for a boy in Shilah's class. It was a lot of fun! Of course the highlight was cake & ice cream. And Cosmo is always so happy to see us whenever we return home!

Sisterly Love

It's hard to believe I am registering both sisters for school next year! Shilah will go to kindergarten 2-3 full days every week, and Serena will go to Pre-K 2 half days per week. Growing up fast!

Serena's New Bed!

We finally bought Serena a new bed last week! It is actually the same bed as Shilah's, which is so nice since it maximizes the small space of her room by having drawers underneath. And the guard rail helps so Serena doesn't roll off. Now all we need is a desk, and both girls' rooms will be fully furnished!
Thank you to my parents who gave us the money for Serena's birthday to use towards the bed! We took a while to get it, since we've been deciding whether or not to get bunk beds, etc. It was also nice to use our Christmas money & gift cards to buy all the bedding. The next task is to replace the farm animal wall-paper border with something that goes with the bedspread.

Grandma & Grandpa are in Town!

My parents arrived at our house on Thursday. The girls love to sit on Grandma Sho-Sho's lap!
And Serena has been showing Grandpa Rick how to do some puzzles.

Christmas part 2

On Saturday we opened presents from grandma & grandpa. It was nice to separate all the gift opening!
Also, we got to watch Emory overnight!
Our neighbor Karen also came over for dinner and we had fun hanging out!

Football Playoffs

On Sunday we went to my brother Keith's place to watch the football playoffs.
Uncle Gabe & family met us there.
There were some disappointed Patriots fans :-(

Happy New Year!

Last night we spent New Year's Eve at Gabe & Andrea's house. We ordered pizza, played cards, (drank), and had a fun sleepover!

Lily found out that beer bottles are great for teething.

We even brought Cosmo with us, and realize more than ever how lucky we are to have such a great family dog!

This morning we went to our friend's house for brunch, which was really nice!
It's hard to believe we are at the start of another decade. We hope the year 2010 brings everyone peace, love & happiness, along with successful resolutions!
