The Ocean!

The first part of our trip back East was spent in Framingham, Massachusetts-- at the farm Grandpa Ed works on. The girls had a great time petting the cows and hanging out with family!

First Day of School!

Shilah started first grade today, and Serena started her second year of preschool!

Here is Shilah in front of her school. She was so excited! The school puts on a red carpet opening day ceremony, and each class goes down the red carpet into the school. Very cute! Shilah will also be continuing her dance classes. She got a great report card last year and will be skipping the combo level, moving on to level 1 ballet and tap. So she will have school all day every day for the first time, along with dance class 2 days per week. She loves it though!

Serena will be going to the Little White School House again, and will be adding an extra enrichment day, attending 3 half-days per week. She did great on her first day back! More pictures from our trip coming soon!

Vacation on the East Coast

We had a great time visiting family on the East coast! We stayed at Grandma Evie's condo our first night, then spent some time in Framingham at Grandpa Ed's farm, then drove to Portland to see my parents & uncles, then drove back to Shutesbury to see Aunt Tamara & Cousin Cheyenne. Vegas!

A few weeks ago I met 5 of my college friends in Las Vegas for a reunion. We had a blast going to some neat restaurants & clubs! We stayed at the Venetian, which was really nice. Thanks to Shanti for holding down the fort while I was gone!

Lincoln Children's Zoo

On Serena's birthday we were driving back to Colorado from Minnesota. To break up the trip, we stopped at the Children's Zoo in Lincoln, Nebraska. We'd heard good things about it, and it lived up to the expectations!

The butterfly house was really neat... workers squirted nectar on the girls' fingers, and butterflies landed right on them!

Our 2 favorite exhibits were the Tree Kangaroo & Fruit Bat displays. Both endagered species, and very neat to observe!
