Snow Days

Thursday & Friday were snow days for schools and Shanti's work, among a lot of other places. So we had a lot of fun finding things to do, like crafts and reading. The bottom post is of Shilah reading to Serena one of their favorite books, "Good Night Gorilla."

Fun with a Shower Curtain

Who knew shower curtains could provide so much entertainment! Here are the girls playing peek-a-boo, with Serena repeating "Where's Shilah?"

Much-Needed Moisture

A snow storm at last! March is supposed to be Colorado's biggest snow month, and we finally got dumped on. We have about a foot right now, and might get a little more. Serena is not too fond of playing in the snow, but she likes eating it. Shilah, as you can see, is a little snow bunny.

Happy Late St. Patty's Day

Well I do have an excuse... mid-month is my deadline for having certain Jazzercise documents taken care of. This past month was extra crazy, since we had originally planned to move our Jazzercise to a different location, then last minute we renegotiated our lease so we are staying at our current space. Anyways, here are the girls in some cute green attire sent by Grandma Sho-Sho. Serena was having a grumpy day, as you can see :-)

Relaxing

It's nice to have some family downtime, and we try to make that a part of every evening. Yesterday I organized a Jazzercise demo at a Health Fair at our local dance studio. I team taught a class with my other instructors, and it was a lot of fun! Shanti brought the girls, and Shilah had fun taking a free kids class that had gymnastics & tap dancing. Shanti & I think it's inevitable that she's going to be a little dancer, so we are looking into enrolling her in a class.

Kids Say the Cutest Things: Shilah is looking forward to kindergarten after next school year, and she asked me what she & Serena did while I went to kindergarten. I told her she wasn’t born yet, and that I went to kindergarten a long time ago. She asked me again and I gave her the same answer. Finally, Shilah asked, "While you went to kindergarten did Serena & I watch a movie?"

Another Busy Week

This past week I celebrated my 35th birthday, and today I took Shilah to see a high school production of Beauty and the Beast. She really enjoys musicals, and likes spending time making up dances to music. Serena of course likes to copy Shilah's moves!

Welcome to the World, Lilliane Marie Pless!

Andrea & Gabe welcomed their baby girl Lily into the world on Sunday morning! It was so neat bringing Emory to the hospital to meet his new baby sister. I remember Andrea bringing Shilah to the hospital to meet Serena, and it was such a touching moment. What a beautiful baby Lily is, and both she & mom are at home with Gabe and doing great. How exciting for Shilah & Serena to have a new cousin, and for Shanti and me to have a new niece!

Emory Sleeps Over

Saturday night Emory slept over so Andrea & Gabe could rest for their scheduled C-section Sunday morning. The cousins had a great time! The bottom video is of Serena & Emory playing peek-a-boo.

A new baby cousin!

On Sunday we went to Gabe & Andrea's to hang out & eat lunch. The cousins had a great time chasing bubbles! Then we went to see Cousin Tiffany & Tommy's new 2 week old baby boy, Samuel. We're so happy to add another cousin to the mix!

Zoo fun!

I bought a membership to the Denver Zoo after meeting there for playgroup. Shilah & Serena had a great time looking at all the animals and riding the merry-go-round!
