Crazy Busy

Both Shanti and I have been crazy busy, as you've probably noticed since we are not posting as often as we usually do. Since the stimulus bill passed, Shanti has been helping to figure out how to use the money allocated to renewable energy. Also, the town that Shanti has been consulting for, Greensburg, was metioned in the State of the Union address, so that was exciting! I have been busy also, particularly with Jazzercise. I am in the process of taking over the Conifer Jazzercise business at a new location, starting April 1st. So I've been a little overwhelmed with learning about being a Jazzercise class owner! I'll still be teaching, but I'll also be managing the class schedule, EFT accounts, advertising, and a lot of other administrative duties. Shanti has been a great support and has already built us a new stage.

Serena Singing

Here are some videos of Serena singing. In the first one, she starts "Old MacDonald," then says cheese for the camera. In the second video, Serena is singing "Happy Birthday To Me" (which she gets from Shilah, who is excited already for her birthday in April); she then stops when she finds a horse to play with. In the last video, Serena sings her ABC's, but only with the letter B.

We hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day yesterday! Shilah told us it's a day to tell people you love them.

Dance Moves

As I've written before, every day is a dance party in our house! Here are the girls dancing to "Row Your Boat" (with Serena yelling Shilah's name in the middle), and below that is Shilah's solo performance of "Pop Goes the Weasel." Shilah loves to make up her own moves, but I always encourage her to add some hip shakes :-)

Watching Cousin Emory

Saturday night we watched Emory at our house while Andrea & Gabe went out to dinner. They are trying to squeeze in some date nights before their baby girl comes on March 8th. We can't wait to have a new niece!
As you can see, these cousins had a great time together! Shilah calls Emory one of her best friends :-)

Kids Say the Cutest Things

Shilah's new expression is "I'll do it in a couple of whiles" (rather than in a while).
She is such a girly girl-- her favorite color is pink, she loves to wear skirts and heels, and she likes to "make pretty hair" every morning.

These girls love to color! Shilah is getting better at staying in the lines. Serena likes to color and then run over to me, show me her picture, and squeal as if to say, "Look what I did!"
