Shilah loves to read, and Serena loves to grab! You'd think this combination would not be a good one when the 2 are sitting right next to one another, but Shilah was very patient as she "read" Good Night, Gorilla to her little sister!

It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

Today we went on a family walk around the neighborhood. This view is not even a half mile from our house!

Shilah's Jazzercise Medley

Here's Shilah doing parts of Jazzercise routines she's familiar with. She loves to watch the DVD's. It's kinda long, but stick with it 'cause it's kinda cute!

Welcome Home, Daddy!

Shanti got back into town last night, so we're all excited! He was gone for a week to New York City at a conference where he gave a presentation and listened to a lot of speakers in the engineering field.
Here are the girls "talking" to daddy on our old cell phone. We also kept in touch over the real phone :)

















It's the Pink Ladies! Shilah and Serena had fun with their friends Maggie & Alex while daddy was away. It wasn't too bad being a "single mom" for a week... we kept busy with Jazzercise, playgroups, & playing at home!

Shilah and Serena usually play very well together! Shilah, being the older one, is possessive of the toys, so we've been trying to teach her to share (or at least to give Serena another toy to replace the one that was taken).

6 Months!

Serena is 6 months old today!

Out on the Town

While my parents were in town, Shanti and I went out on a date. We had fun reminiscing about our pre-kid days by playing a few games of pool. Shanti and I used to play in a competetive billiards league, so we had a great time!


















We also went out all together a few times. Here's Shilah and Serena with Uncle Gabe & family! My parents left to go back to Buffalo today, so we will miss them... thank you for all the great presents & meals!

A Second Christmas

We waited to open presents with my family until my parents came into town, so this past weekend we had a second Christmas! It was actually really nice to break it up like that, since Shilah doesn't have the longest attention span :)

















Uncle Keith and Aunt Lauren stayed over a few nights and we all had fun playing games & talking!

Grandparents in Town!

Grandma and Grandpa Youngers are in town visiting, and they're having a lot of fun with the grandkids! We will miss them when they leave tomorrow :(

Another Milestone!

Serena is sitting up now, and she also had her first solid food this past weekend: rice cereal! Here are some pictures from the first feeding...

When I saw this picture of Serena it reminded me of the expression on Shilah's face when she was just a bit older (below). A major difference of course is the eye color (and the peas all over Shilah's face). But I think they have the same eye shape and cuteness!

Sitting Up!

Serena has been sitting up on her own for a couple of weeks now. Here are some pictures of our little girl who is growing up fast!




















When I saw this picture of Serena it reminded me of a picture we have of Shilah at around the same age (below). I think they look different, but their smiles are almost the same!
