Thursday was Shilah's last day of school! We carpooled with another mom throughout the year, and while Shilah waited for rides she would enjoy collecting rocks & picking dandelions in our driveway. The school held a continuation/graduation ceremony, which was so cute! Shanti came home from work early to attend, and Shilah liked showing him her classroom and posing on the steps. Shilah will go one more year to this school, and then it's off to kindergarten! The bottom post is video of Shilah receiving her certificate of continuation. Good job, Shilah!

Conifer Jazzercise Center
I have really been enjoying being a Jazzercise class owner and teaching 6 days a week! It definitely keeps me busy and in shape. I have also been mentoring someone to be an instructor, and she will audition and go through training in a couple of weeks.
Here are some pics of Shilah & Serena at our studio. They love coming with me and running around, and then playing in the childcare room while I teach. Sometimes I stay and do work while another class is going on, and they love to watch the routines! Shilah has been pretending to teach Jazzercise (she likes doing hip shakes and leg lifts), which is very cute.

Greensburg, Kansas Rebuilding
Below is the beginning of an article recognizing National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) for its efforts in helping to rebuild Greensburg, Kansas "green." Shanti has been traveling there as the energy efficiency consultant for their commercial buildings.
Good job, NREL & Shanti!
Two Years Later, Greensburg is Officially Green — with NREL's Help
Two years after a tornado annihilated Greensburg, the Kansas farm town gives NREL the city's inaugural award for helping it realize its ambition to become America's model green community with wind power and efficient new buildings.

Creative Use for Headbands
Shilah loves to accessorize! (Tinkles taught her well). Here she is using multiple headbands to hold up her "skirt."
I had a very nice Mother's Day on Sunday! I got a couple of books from Shanti, and a bouquet of dandelions from the girls. Shanti was gone 4 days last week, so it was nice to have a day of semi-relaxation.
Serena has been saying "I love you" all the time... she says "uv" instead of love. When she says I uv you, mama-- it just melts my heart.

Morning Routines
Every morning Serena gets up and asks for cereal, and Shilah likes to lay by the heater in the kitchen and warm up before eating breakfast. Cosmo enjoys following the girls hoping for some crumbs to drop. It certainly is a process (and sometimes a challenge) getting two kids fed, dressed, and out the door by a certain time!
